What to Expect During the Assessment Process

The assessment process begins with an initial consultation to discuss your concerns and determine the most appropriate assessment for you. For both ADHD and PTSD assessments, this may include completing self-report questionnaires, interviews, and standardized testing. After the assessment is completed, we’ll schedule a follow-up appointment to review the results, discuss the findings, and provide recommendations for treatment or next steps

If you’re considering an ADHD or PTSD assessment, or if you have any questions about how these assessments can benefit you, please reach out to L&P Associates. Our team is here to support you and provide the clarity and guidance you need to move forward.

ADHD
Assessments

Our ADHD assessment process is tailored to help individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults—who may be struggling with attention difficulties, hyperactivity, impulsivity, or executive functioning challenges. ADHD can impact various aspects of life, including academic performance, work productivity, relationships, and emotional well-being. Through a combination of structured interviews, questionnaires, and standardized tests, we evaluate your symptoms and their impact on your day-to-day life.

  • ADHD Evaluation for adults, and children ages 8 and up. For children, the evaluation includes a 45-55 minute in-office visit plus input from the child, parent(s), and teacher(s).  For adults, the evaluation includes a 45-55 minute in-office visit plus input from an individual who can verify symptoms were present before the age of 12.  This is usually a 15-20 minute phone conversation.  A written report is provided within 2 weeks of the evaluation.  The  cost is $350 due at the time of the office visit. The client is responsible for seeking reimbursement from their insurance company.

Whether you are seeking an assessment for a child, a teen, or yourself as an adult, our goal is to provide clarity and a path forward, helping you manage and cope with ADHD effectively.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can develop after exposure to traumatic events and can significantly affect a person’s mental and emotional health. At L&P Associates, we offer PTSD assessments to help individuals understand the impact of trauma on their lives. These assessments are especially useful for individuals who have experienced events such as accidents, abuse, natural disasters, combat, or any other situation that caused extreme stress or fear.

Our PTSD assessment process involves:

  • In-depth interviews to discuss your history of trauma and current symptoms.

  • Standardized PTSD screening tools to evaluate the severity of symptoms.

  • Assessment of related issues, such as anxiety, depression, and hyperarousal.

  • A clear report outlining your symptoms, diagnosis, and recommended next steps.

Whether you are dealing with recent trauma or have been carrying the effects of past experiences, our PTSD assessment will help you gain insight into your mental health and take the next steps toward healing.
